Robyn Wrigley-Carr: On Evelyn Underhill, Transformative Mysticism and the Value of Fostering Unity

Robyn Wrigley-Carr is Associate Professor in Spirituality and Spiritual Care at the University of Divinity, Australia. Her PhD at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, examined Friedrich von Hügel as a spiritual director. As well as lecturing, Robyn is a trained spiritual director and leads retreats in Australia and England. Robyn is the author of The Spiritual Formation of Evelyn Underhill (SPCK, 2020) and Music of Eternity: Meditations for Advent with Evelyn Underhill (the Archbishop of York’s Advent Book for 2021), and she edited Evelyn Underhill’s Prayer Book (SPCK, 2018). Alongside an extensive list of journal publications in highly ranked journals such as Theology Today and the Journal of Religion, Spirituality & Aging, Robyn has been a guest on Renovaré podcasts (USA), Church House (UK) and ABC RN’s God Forbid (Australia).
